Description

Here's the first voted pony!
You all wanted Luna, so you all get Luna!
It's an early Christmas gift, because I'm sure I'll be super busy the next two days.

She took me almost 5 days I believe. It was really hard work, but it was very rewarding!
I hope you all love here as much as I love her!

Hi there! I saw you were requesting critiques and so here's mine c:

What's good:
>When I look at your piece, the first thing I notice is that i'm really impressed with is how well the anatomy and proportions look in this piece. You clearly have a fair amount of knowledge for pony proportions and anatomy and even though it's stylised  it makes the piece look really good. I especially love how you have done Luna's face. Well done on doing the horn so well. I know it can be really really hard to colour the highlights and shade correctly but you have done it really well!

>As well as, I really really like the wing you have drawn and the definition you have added to it!

> I adore how you achieved the effect on the metal and jewels. It looks almost realistic and you did really really well with the shading of the metal and a lot of people struggle with that so well done!

To improve:
I recommend experimenting with making your art pop out more with contrast and different hues. This can really help make your art more aesthetically pleasing and appeal to a larger audience. Here and here are two tutorials can help with this. Try to avoid using white as a highlight because it can make your art look unsaturated and boring.

>Also, I recommend experimenting with colour on Luna's hair and tail as well. The white sort of clashes with the rest of her and doesn't look too right. You can make bright highlights out of various light blue hues. This would make the highlight easier on the viewer’s eyes and done well it can look quite magical!

>As much as I love the wing you have drawn, I am wondering where is the other wing? I didn't notice it at first but it looks a bit unusual now that I have. If you ever draw wings again I recommend doing both of them. Due to the perspective we should be able to see the other wing on the other side of her shoulder.

>I understand the need to protect your work from theft with your watermarks but because it isn't very transparent it's really hard to concentrate on the subject of your art and the viewer concentrates on your signature instead. I recommend making it smaller or more transparent so it's easier to see your actual work!

Hope you like my advice, good luck with your art!
